SHIP U. Men’s Soccer battles Lock Haven to scoreless draw

The Shippensburg University men’s soccer team played Lock Haven to a 0-0 draw Saturday at David See Field.

Shippensburg goalkeeper Jack McCann made two saves in the first half as the Raiders (2-4-4) and Bald Eagles (2-3-6) entered halftime scoreless. He finished with four saves to record a shutout in his first start of the season.

Ethan Omondi nearly gave Shippensburg an early lead, but his shot went over the crossbar. The Raiders also had an opportunity in the 86th minute when Conway Brown II was knocked down inside the penalty area. Officials ruled that the Lock Haven defender played the ball and awarded a goal kick.

Julius Dogan led Shippensburg with two shots. Coy Rush and John Trigg each recorded a shot on goal. Seven yellow cards were issued, including four to Shippensburg and three to Lock Haven.
