The Shippensburg Area School District has released calendar highlights for the 2026-27 school year.
The first day of school is Aug. 20, 2026. Fall break is scheduled for Nov. 26-30, winter break will run from Dec. 23, 2026, through Jan. 1, 2027, and spring break is scheduled for March 25-29, 2027.
Additional no-school dates include Sept. 7, Oct. 12, Nov. 11, Dec. 23, Jan. 1, Jan. 18, Feb. 15, March 25-29 and May 31.
The second semester is scheduled to begin Jan. 19, 2027.
Early release days are scheduled for Nov. 10, Nov. 16, Nov. 24, Dec. 22 and March 24. Dismissal times are 12:30 p.m. for SASHS and SAMS, 1:10 p.m. for SAIS and James Burd, and 1:25 p.m. for Grace B. Luhrs and Nancy Grayson.
The last day of school is May 28, 2027, and Shippensburg Area Senior High School graduation is scheduled for May 28. The district noted that May 31 is a no-school date and will not be extended to May 28 because of snow make-up scheduling.
Snow make-up days are scheduled for June 1-4, 2027, if needed.
