Mrs. Shirley Ann Morton (Kling), 84, passed away at home and into God’s Paradise on Monday, August 15, 2022.
Born April 14, 1938, she was the daughter of the late George L. and Helen (Kauffman) Kling.
Mrs. Morton was from Spring Run, Pennsylvania and graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in Dry Run in 1956. She and her late husband of 64 years, Mr. Paul E. Morton, married June 15, 1957. Together they built a life of love.
Mrs. Morton and her husband established a family owned and operated business known as Morton’s Auto Parts Store and Service Center in Willow Hill, PA.
She was an active member of the Spring Run United Methodist Church where she served the Lord for 70 years. During this time, she aided as a Youth Director, Bible School Teacher, Lay Leader, Chair Person of Worship, and Parsonage Trustee, as well as Health, Welfare and Financial Secretary for 25 years.
Mrs. Morton’s strong faith was her foundation and from that faith came her dedication, determination, perseverance, enthusiasm, kindness and love.
Mrs. Morton enjoyed church fund raising, singing in the choir, NASCAR racing and square dancing with her husband and friends.
In addition, she deeply cherished time spent with her granddaughter Mackenzie, who she loved with her whole being.
Mrs. Morton is survived by a son, Mr. Brent E. Morton and his wife Denise of Newville, PA; a daughter Mrs. Teresa A. and her husband Timothy Kohler of Fayetteville, PA, a granddaughter, Ms. Mackenzie Ericka Kohler, of Fayetteville, PA and her sisters Mmes. Jane Clayton and Georgia Himes.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morton was preceded in death by her loving husband and sisters Mmes. Sara Mae (Kling) Frowen and Betty (Kling) Campbell.
There will be a viewing Monday, 22 Aug 2022 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 23 Aug 2022 at 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m.
All events will be held at the Spring Run United Methodist Church, 16667 Main Street, Spring Run, PA 17262.
The Interment Ceremony will follow the service in Upper Path Valley Cemetery, 17173 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, PA 17262.
