Signs of summer: Farmers markets
One of the sure signs of summer is fresh, local produce, sandwiches, BBQ and goods popping up in stands throughout the area! Times are a little different for the upcoming 2020 Summer season, but that hasn’t taken away an old favorite, North Square Farmers Market.
As we brave these unusual times, we’ve had to miss things that we didn’t even realize we would ever miss. The Farmer’s Market brings a little light at the end of the tunnel moving into a safe, new — hopefully, temporary — normal.
Locals were full of joy at the opening of the outdoor North Square Farmer’s Market at its seasonal debut May 23.

The market and its vendors put a lot of work and care into safety procedures to ensure all shoppers had a safe experience.
Shoppers had access to hand washing stations, sanitizer, directional walking paths and reminders to safely distance while shopping or picking up their purchases. It made for an incredible first day at the market.
Attending the North Square Farmer’s Market was like seeing an old friend. Many said it filled them with hope and joy.
