Specialized Testing Required for Schluter In-Floor Heat

The Floor Trader Outlet of Chambersburg has emphasized that all Schluter in-floor heating systems must be tested with 1,000 volts before installation. A regular meter is not sufficient for this process.

To meet this requirement, the store keeps a specialized meter available for its preferred contractors. Proper testing ensures the heating wire is checked accurately, protects warranties from being voided, and prevents issues such as broken floor wires.

Aaron from ANR Construction recently demonstrated the testing process before a job, noting its importance after a damaged wire was received.
