Stevens Elementary Hosts Family Math Night Focused on Geometry

Stevens Elementary School recently hosted an engaging educational event titled “Gellin With Geometry Family Math Night,” aimed at bringing students and their families together for a hands-on mathematics experience. The event featured eight interactive stations, each designed to explore different aspects of geometry.

Participants had the opportunity to dig into various geometric concepts through activities such as Origami, which demonstrated the art of paper folding in a mathematical context, and Tangrams, where families worked with puzzles to understand shape composition and spatial relationships. Additional stations included exercises on calculating area and exploring the properties of 3D shapes, among others.
