The Friends of Cowans Gap State Park are having the second concert of their 2022 Music in the Park series. The event is free and held in the amphitheater of Cowans Gap State Park this Saturday at 6PM.
Not only do those who come out get to enjoy a free concert, but they also enjoy the entertainment in a beautiful state park.

The Friends Group
The Friends of Cowans Gap State Park exists to preserve, protect and enhance the environment, history, educational and recreational programs of the park and surrounding areas through public programs, special events and volunteerism for the past, present and future generations.
The group also raises money and fills in gaps left by the low amount of state to ensure that the park has the resources it needs. Recently, the group bought snake kits for each ranger, which was something that they wouldn’t otherwise of been able to purchase. Other notable contributions include a playground, golf carts, storage sheds, exhibits for the nature center, and basic maintenance supplies.
