Sophomore Nate Reed won the long jump Saturday to highlight the day for a split squad of the Shippensburg University men’s indoor track & field team that competed at the 2020 Susquehanna Invitational.

Reed posted a new indoor collegiate best of 22 feet, 7 ¼ inches to win the competition and move himself into fifth on the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) leaderboard for the event. The performance was one of three PSAC qualifiers on the day for the Raiders.

Redshirt-sophomore Nate Kaplon picked up a PSAC cut in the 3K, running 9:07.51. Junior Jacob Gieringer met the league mark in the weight throw; his top heave traveled 47 feet, 11 ¼ inches.

Shippensburg completes the regular season next Friday with squads competing at Bucknell and Kutztown.
