The Shippensburg University women’s indoor track & field team competed in a number of events Saturday at the 2020 Susquehanna Invitational held inside the Garrett Sports Complex Field House.

Sophomore Adriana Baxter (Philadelphia, Pa./Martin Luther King) paced the sprints squad, finishing second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.12 seconds and fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.72 seconds. Senior Cirsten Kelly (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) took sixth in the 400, running 1:02.68.

Freshman Kayla Brooks (Hanover, Pa./South Western) finished sixth in both the 60-meter hurdles (10.16 seconds after running 9.95 seconds in the prelims) and the long jump (17 feet, 1 ½ inches). Redshirt-sophomore Olivia Sommers (Madison, Wisc./Chambersburg Area (Pa.)) finished seventh in the 5K with a time of 20:04.

Shippensburg completes the regular season next Friday with squads competing at Bucknell and Kutztown.
