SU Women’s Swimming announces five early signings for 2023-24 Recruiting Class

Shippensburg University head women’s swimming coach Tim Verge has confirmed the recruitment of five student-athletes who have each agreed to attend the university and will suit up for the Raider program in the fall.

“What a wonderful group of people we have set to join us for next year,” Verge said. “We certainly hope to add more, but this is just such a tremendous early signing period for us. I am so excited and humbled that they have trusted Shippensburg University and our program with their futures.”

Verge mentioned that he has enjoyed getting to know the recruits and their families, noting that there are some interesting SHIP connections with some of the newcomers.

“They are fantastic students first and foremost, which will help us continue our outstanding academic track record” Verge said. “From a swimming perspective, every one of them is capable of scoring for us at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships, so it is a very talented group.”

These individuals have signed either national letters of intent (NLIs) or institutional letters expressing their desire to swim at Shippensburg. This year’s recruiting class, at this point, features five women from Pennsylvania.
