Suspect Apprehended After Pursuit in Greencastle

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of John Michael Trivitt, who was taken into custody on Tuesday evening by deputies and Greencastle Police officers.

Trivitt was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Pennsylvania State Police, and Greencastle Police, including one tied to a high-speed chase that occurred last Friday in Greencastle and Antrim Township.

Deputies spotted Trivitt operating a moped and attempted a traffic stop, but he fled, leading officers on a pursuit through local streets and backyards. He was later apprehended without further incident near Rescue Hose Company No. 1 and Route 11.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office stated that additional charges will be filed.
