Suspicious Activity/Person Outside of Andrew Buchanan Elementary

On March 9th, 2023, the Chambersburg Police were informed by the Chambersburg Area School District Police that a male had approached two students as they were walking to Andrew Buchanan Elementary School on March 8th, 2023, at around 8:40 AM.

The male claimed that their mother had requested he walk them to school, but the mother denies making such a request and does not recognize the person. The Chambersburg Police and CASD Police are seeking to identify the person captured on camera in the area of Lincoln Way East and Sixth St.

The individual is seen running east on Lincoln Way East and then south on S. Sixth St. before encountering the students.

The person shown in the photo is a person of interest, but not necessarily a suspect at this time. Anyone who recognizes the person shown in the photo or has any information that could help in this case is urged to contact the Chambersburg Police Department at (717)264-4131 or submit a tip on Crimewatch.

Upon retirement, Brenda worked as a part-time nurse at the Migrant Health in Gettysburg. During this time she traveled to migrant camps all over Pennsylvania.
