Bishop McDevitt High School guard Taja Colbert has signed a national letter of intent (NLI) to attend Shippensburg University and suit up for the Raider program in the 2021-22 season.

Shippensburg University women’s basketball head coach Kristy Trn confirmed Colbert’s recruitment this week.

“We are very excited to have Taja join our family,” Trn said. “She is dynamic, and an exciting player to watch on both sides of the ball. Taja has offensive firepower, and the ability to be a lock-down defender.”

Colbert, a standout for the Crusaders and head coach Kevin Dupes, is a Mid-Penn Conference Keystone Division First Team All Star who averaged 15 points and three assists per game in her junior season.
