The US Census conducted a survey and collected results from February 28th to March 6th. From their statistical research they were able to make several observations. Some were as expected, but others were more suprising.
In the country, 20.5% of U.S. small business owners report that their business has returned to its normal level of operations. Pennsylvania was right in line with those numbers within 0.2%.
Not surprising were reports regarding supply chain shortages. 46.1% of construction companies indicated that they were affected by the supplies or inputs used to provide their services. 18.0% reported foreign supplier delays and 12.7% production delays in the last week.
Supplies were not the only thing in short supply, but 17.8% of U.S. small businesses also reported being affected by the availability of current employees. 20.7% of U.S. small businesses report a decrease in revenues in the last week.
