Tiedemann arrested, arraigned
Karl Tiedemann, 36, Chambersburg, was arrested today on a warrant charging him with providing drugs used in an overdose death.
Magisterial District Judge Glenn Manns set Tiedemann’s bail at $250,000 during his 3:20 p.m. arraignment this afternoon. He was unable to post bail and is in Franklin County Jail.
Tiedemann faces a first degree felony drug delivery resulting in death charge; as well as a felony Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver a controlled substance.
Police provided few details about the case in a news release Monday other than to say the charges stem from the overdose death of a woman who ingested a controlled substance.
Tiedemann’s first court appearance will be at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 28 in Franklin County’s Magisterial District Central Court. An attorney is not listed for him on online court records.
