Transmission Project Petition Event Set for Oct. 8 in Waynesboro

A letter and petition signing event concerning transmission projects will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Trigger’s Table & Taproom in Waynesboro.

Attendees can sign protest letters and petitions intended for the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. The event will also provide information about transmission projects, opportunities to ask questions and a chance to meet others involved.

The event is open to everyone, and attendees may stop in at any time during the scheduled hours. Drinks and appetizers will be provided.

Trigger’s Table & Taproom is located at 118 Walnut St., Suite 106, Waynesboro.

Franklin County Employees Raise $7,224 for United Way

Franklin County employees raised $7,224.12 for the United Way of Franklin County through the organization’s annual fundraising campaign. A total of 139 employees across 26 departments participated through monthly dress-down
