WellSpan Health’s Platelet+ program allows donors to give platelets and plasma during the same appointment.
According to WellSpan, one Platelet+ donation can help up to four patients. The program does not require donors to schedule an additional appointment.
WellSpan said platelet donations are declining while demand is increasing.
