WellSpan York Hospital Earns Pulmonary Hypertension Accreditation

WellSpan York Hospital has been accredited as a Pulmonary Hypertension Care Center by the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. WellSpan Health said the hospital is one of five accredited pulmonary hypertension centers in Pennsylvania.

The accreditation recognizes the hospital’s specialized expertise, resources and coordinated care for patients with pulmonary hypertension.

Pulmonary hypertension is high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs and can strain the heart. Symptoms such as shortness of breath and fatigue can resemble those of other heart and lung conditions.
