Wilson College Seminar to Focus on Early Career Advice

Wilson College’s health sciences and business programs will host a Strategic Seminar Series event, “From College to Career: Navigating the Transition with Wilson Alums,” on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, in the auditorium of the Harry R. Brooks Complex for Science, Mathematics, and Technology.

The event will bring together an accomplished panel of Wilson alumni representing a range of professions, including nursing, business, veterinary nursing, exercise science, and education. Panelists will share their personal experiences transitioning from college to the workforce, discussing the challenges they faced after graduation, lessons they learned along the way, and the strategies that helped them achieve professional success.
The evening will begin with a networking reception from 5 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A session from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The Strategic Seminar Series provides a platform for students and community members to engage directly in candid conversations about career and leadership challenges.

“There is tremendous value in hearing real-world stories from people who once sat in the same classrooms and faced many of the same questions our students have today,” said Lance Cain, DBA, director of business and assistant professor of business at Wilson College. “Our panelists will offer honest perspectives on the obstacles they encountered, the decisions that shaped their careers, and the lessons they learned along the way. Attendees will leave with greater confidence and practical insights they can use as they begin their own professional paths.”
The following Wilson College alumni will participate in the panel discussion:

• Caeley Keller, PHRN, CCRN, CFRN—Bachelor of Science in Nursing, 2022. Flight nurse with WellSpan Health, Chambersburg, Pa.
• Santina Gutshall—Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medical Technology, 2022. Certified veterinary technician and technician supervisor for the Animal Hospital of Dauphin County, Harrisburg, Pa.
