What is Happening

Pertinent meet information, including live coverage links and a meet schedule, is available by accessing the PSAC Championships page linked above.

Shippensburg enters the championships as the No. 3 team in the Atlantic Region per the latest edition of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) rankings, which equate a team’s value based on its top performances throughout the season. Slippery Rock is ranked atop the region, and host Millersville ranks second. Seton Hill is ranked fourth. The regional rankings illustrate a team’s depth and articulate how it would perform in a “dual meet” setting.

Shippensburg’s History at the Championships

SU won four events at last year’s championships and will be seeking title defenses in three: Lieke Black won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:04.10, Kate Matrisciano won the shot put on a top throw of 47 feet, 7 inches, and the 4×4 relay (which features three returners in Black, Leah Graybill and Caroline Mastria posted a four-second victory in 3:55.12. Zarria Williams won the long jump last year for the Raiders, her second straight title.

Last season, competing at Seth Grove Stadium, Shippensburg won its 14th outdoor conference championship in school history and its first since 2018, which was the final year of a streak of nine consecutive championships won by the Raiders. Slippery Rock won the 2019 PSAC Championship, and there was no meet in 2020 due to the pandemic.
