Zachary L “Zach” Daley 1993-2024

Mr. Zachary L “Zach” Daley, 30, of Greencastle, PA, a vibrant spirit who touched the lives of many, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Born August 10, 1993, in Hershey, PA, he is the son of Amy and Richie Freeman of Huntingdon, PA.

He graduated from Mount Union High School with the class of 2012. He was employed at Ventura Foods, Chambersburg, PA.

A beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle and friend, Zach will be remembered for his kindhearted, incredibly sweet and caring personality, which earned him the nickname, “McLovin”! He had a sense of humor that could light up the darkest room and was always ready to lend a helping hand to someone in need.

Zach knew how to embrace his passions; from a young age, he found a liking for wrestling. His grit and determination led him through countless matches, from youth leagues to high school.

In his free time, when he wasn’t riding his motorcycle, you could find Zach working on his car, playing video games and listening to music. He enjoyed the companionship of his Pitt Bull’s, Buster and Champ, and above all else, he loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother and best friend, Joshua Daley and his fiancé’ ,Taryn Brookes of Fayetteville, PA, his sister, Tosha Daley of Cambridge Springs, PA, his step-brother, Sammy Daley of Greencastle; his grandparents: Geraldine and Larry Sites of Greencastle, Robert and Paula Freeman of Huntingdon, Sheila Freeman of Waynesboro, and Angle “Butch” Daley, III; his Aunts and Uncles: Carl and Lisa Eckstine, Mercersburg, PA and Jeff and Wendy Briggs of Greencastle, among several other aunts, uncles and cousins, his niece and nephews, whom he adored and loved to spoil: Aleaha, Kaden and Cameron Thompson, all of Shippensburg, PA, his biological father, Angle “Butch” Daley, IV, and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cathy Daley.

A celebration of Zach’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St. Greencastle, PA, with Pastor David Pine officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the time of the service, Saturday afternoon, in the funeral home.

James was known for his dedication and excellence in his professional career, where he made lasting contributions and built strong relationships with his colleagues.

Brenda Jackson Liu 1945-2024

Upon retirement, Brenda worked as a part-time nurse at the Migrant Health in Gettysburg. During this time she traveled to migrant camps all over Pennsylvania.
