How It Happened

Wilson started the game eager for goals, scoring two in the first five minutes of action. Freshman Jade Wolfe (Mercersburg, Pa, James Buchannan) opened the scoring off of an assist from junior Bailey Miller (Charles Town, W.Va., Washington)  early in the fourth minute. Julia Mohler scored her first of three, in the fifth minute unassisted.  Senior Olivia Churchman (Waynesboro, PA, Shenandoah) joined the scoring action netting her own goal in the 37th minute assisted by freshman Katie Riley (Mt. Airy, MD, Urbana) bringing the score to 3-0 to finish the first half.

Keeping with the trend of scoring early, Jade Wolfe scored her second of the game in the 47th minute, once again assisted by Bailey Miller.  Mohler once again followed Wolfe’s goal with one of her own a few minutes later and went another twenty minutes before finding her third of the game bringing the score to 6-0 with 20 minutes to play. The Defenders did manage to find the back of the net in the 85th minute to bring the score to 6-1.

Inside the Box Score
