Employee of the Month: DL Martin recognizes Scott Biddinger

D.L. Martin Co. recognizes Scott Biddinger as Employee of the Month for August. Scott lives in Mercersburg and has been with the company for 10 years.

He’s a CWB-Certified Welder and qualified painter in Building 4. His supervisor, Dakota Carmack, is the Operations Manager who has been with D.L. Martin Co. for 6 years.

The company chose Scott for two of his recent suggestions:

  • He suggested lowering air pressure to the spray gun to reduce excessive overspray. The suggestion significantly reduced primer usage, filter usage, filter changes and filter disposal costs in the Paint Booth.
  • A second suggestion called for rearranging the storage location of hooks and plugs so they are closer and readily available to painter helpers workstations. That suggestion eliminated time wasted by painter helpers looking for those items when preparing parts for the paint operation.
