The 2020 Heritage Christmas Light It Up Contest continues a tradition embraced by the Greencastle-Antrim community as a holiday tradition; a competition involving decorating local homes for the holidays in hopes of achieving the title of best decorated home in their community.

In 2018 the Chamber began opening the event to a vote process of $1/vote. The funds raised helped needy families in the community through a donation to Greencastle-Antrim Food Pantry. Fifteen homes competed last year, with $705 raised for the food pantry.
This is the 30th year the community has celebrated Heritage Christmas,
Antrim Insurance Agency, Inc sponsors the annual Light It Up competition. It is organized by the Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce. Participation is free. Registrations are being accepted until December 1. Contestants should send in their name, address, name of neighborhood, if applicable, and phone number to the Chamber at: PO Box 175. Voting starts December 1st
The public can vote for their favorite home at $1 per vote, beginning December 1 until December 20 at 1 p.m. The money raised during the competition benefits the Greencastle-Antrim Food Pantry.
Votes can be dropped off at the Chamber during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:30 p.m.; or delivered to the Holiday House on the Square from 5:30-8:30 p. during Heritage Christmas events on Friday nights, December 4th and 11th.

Winners will be announced on the Chamber website and Facebook page, and in the Dec. 24 edition of the Echo-Pilot.
