SU sports: PSAC field hockey semifinals start Friday

PSAC field hockey semifinals start Friday at Robb Sports Complex, hosted by Shippensburg University. The Raiders (PSAC #1 seed) face Millersville’s Marauders (#4 seed) at 1 p.m. at Robb Sports Complex.

The winner of the first 2021 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference semifinal match will face the winner of the other semifinal (No. 2 seed East Stroudsburg and No. 3 seed West Chester) in the PSAC Championship game, scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday at the SU sports Complex.

Friday’s PSCA semifinals game is a rematch of the 2019 PSAC Championships Quarterfinal at Shippensburg in which Millersville defeated the Raiders in overtime, 2-1.

Earlier this season, Shippensburg defeated Millersville 2-0 at Robb Sports Complex. The two teams have alternated wins and losses in the last five meetings in the overall series.

The Raiders are 17-28 all-time in the PSAC Championships dating back to 1979. SU is seeking its second PSAC Field Hockey Championship title, and first since 2005.

Tickets are available for both games. SU and PSAC students are admitted free with student ID. Adult tickets are $10. Non-Ship and non-PSAC student tickets are $5. Parking information link here.
