How it happened

The Raiders opened the first set with a 10-3 run but the Marauders would come back from a seven-point deficit and have their own 10-3 run. SU led 22-21 before the Marauders scored the final four points to win the first set.

In the second set, the Raiders took control. Letchworth led the Raiders with a five-point service run. SU dominated the second set, accumulating 11 kills and committing only one error. The Raiders led at one point 21-7.

In the third set, MU and SU were close. The set was tied 23-23 after a service error by the Marauders. An ace from Letchworth and a block from Verhoef and Foulis was enough to close the third set.

In the fourth set, the score was tied at 9-9 until the Raiders went on a 7-1 run, but then couldn’t convert the next four points. After an SU timeout at 16-14, the Raiders scored five of the next six points. A kill from freshman Maddie Clabaugh sealed the match, and the victory.
